COURSE DESCRIPTION

ISO 14001 is a widely recognized international standard which specifies the requirements for organizations that want to enhance their environmental performance and increase their operational efficiency. The framework that is based on ISO 14001 will help organizations manage their short-term and long-term processes through the use of efficient resources, which will have a positive impact on the environment.

ISO 14001 provides guidelines on how to establish policies and procedures, which will lead to a better environmental performance. These policies will help you in maintaining and controlling environmental impacts and legal compliance.

ISO 14001 Foundation training enables you to learn the basic elements to implement and manage an Environmental Management System (EMS) as specified in ISO 14001. During this training course, you will be able to understand the different modules of an EMS, including EMS policy, procedures, performance measurements, management commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement.

COURSE AGENDA

Day 1: Introduction to Environmental Management System (EMS) concepts as required by ISO 14001
Day 2: Environmental Management System requirements and Certification Exam

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

During this course delegates will be using a case study and taking part in group discussions and activities, Power Point presentation, examples of real case scenarios, video, general discussions through sharing of experience.

PREREQUISITES

Training material containing over 200 pages of information and practical examples will be distributed. Stationery, refreshments and lunch will be provided.

TRAINER
